Episode 419: The epic conclusion of my takedown of Universalism wherein I demonstrate that Universalism is really a philosophy in search of a biblical text. Its reading of Scripture is informed not only with a faulty hermeneutic (Scripture read through the lens of philosophy), but it’s very view of Scripture is itself erroneous. Finally, what we should really hope for with eternal destinies.
Episode 418: I continue my takedown of Universalism by walking through the proof-texts offered in favor of the doctrine & demonstrating exegetically why their conclusions are unsubstantiated. Romans 11.32; 1 Corinthians 15.22, 28; Philippians 2.10-11; 2 Corinthians 5.19; Colossians 1.20; & Ephesians 1.10 are all examined within their context. Close reading of each of these texts in their given context eliminates the confusion and even contradiction that universalism introduces.
Episode 417: What in the world is Universalism and why would anyone be opposed to it? I breakdown what Universalism before tackling it from a biblical perspective. I approach first on a macro scale demonstrating why Universalism is inconsistent with the Scriptures as a whole. Then, I begin dealing with Universalist proof-texts: Acts 3.21 & Romans 5.18-19. More to come…
Episode 367: Genesis 38 is a chapter of the Bible we tend to steer clear of due to its mature content. There is sin in just about every verse of this chapter. Where is God’s grace in all of this? “But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.” Tune in as I take a look at this chapter & how God’s grace even reaches a man like Judah.

Question of the Day: How big is heaven?
Episode 365: Warning: Explicit Content. Through the prophet Ezekiel, God uses graphic language to describe his broken relationship with Israel. After He tenderly nursed her, bountifully lavished her with gifts, & graciously married her, she used his gold, silver, & clothing to pay men to sleep with her. It is a grotesque portrait, yet it is a gracious picture because of how God responds after his bride’s faithlessness. Tune in to see God’s grace in Ezekiel 16.

He is not the first to make this claim but his claim is getting the most attention right now with the release of the movie base on the book Heaven is for Real. But is his experience really what it claims to be? Is it really essential for us to depend upon the testimony of a three year old to know if heaven is real? Tune in as I point out some big issues I have with these kinds of experiences and what the Bible says about them.
Episode 192: Our typical interpretation of Revelation 21 & 22 is that this is heaven. However, I challenge that view in this episode. If John is not talking about heaven, what is he talking about? Tune in as I explain the vision.
Question of the Day: Is Satan real?
