Episode 171: Is your church friendly enough? Does your worship engage people? A Christian Post article stimulate my thinking and I offer my limited insight into several areas where we in the churches of Christ might make some improvements or at least rethink the way we approach worship and visitor..er, I mean guests.

Episode 169: We continue our steady march through the book of Revelation. In this episode I deal with the final three (3) churches in Asia Jesus addresses – Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. Tune in as I explain the message Jesus has for each of these churches and make a few connections to our present-day issues.

Episode 168: Hip-deep into the book of Revelation we run into the actual churches Jesus is writing/speaking to concerning the approaching persecution. Episode 135: Anti- Church. Non-institutional. Institutional. It is interesting the way we in the churches of Christ talk about one another. The root of these monikers is…division. The very thing Jesus prayed against (John 17) is the very thing we cling to with our pet doctrines and institutional affiliations. Tune in as I talk about the need for unity.

Episode 129: Richard Carlson’s article “Whatever Happened to Sin?” is the basis for today’s show. He identifies several behaviors which in the past were considered sinful behavior but over time have been renamed to make better. But if “a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet,” then sin by any other name is just as offensive to God. Tune to hear what has happened to sin.
Episode 128: So some religious groups claim to have modern-day apostles – Mormons stand out as the main group, but some Catholics do and you can tune into Apostle Fredrick K.C. Price each week on TV. Even some in the church of Christ are moving toward a theology which has modern-day apostles (See “Rethinking Apostleship” below). However, the main position of members of the church of Christ has been that there are no apostles today (See “Are There Modern-Day Apostles” below). Today my friend and brother Sean Andrews joins me to discuss this subject.
